Cascade Stream Solutions,LLC was established to provide high quality fisheries, restoration, and river engineering services in rural Central and Southern Oregon and Northern California. This region supports diverse and complex ecosystems and communities that depend on the natural resources integral to those ecosystems. Cascade Stream Solutions’ mission is to work with resource managers and resource users to develop and implement solutions that restore, enhance, and protect our aquatic ecosystems and local communities.
Cascade Stream Solutions’ founding principal, Joey Howard, has 21 years of experience working in natural and impaired watersheds. He has worked with State and Federal resource agencies, resource conservation districts, nonprofits, and local water users to improve and protect aquatic resources. His services for these clients included field survey and monitoring; fluvial geomorphic assessments, hydrologic and hydraulic studies; fish passage and screen design; restoration design; and irrigation design. He is an effective communicator who works well with both resource managers and scientists, local ranchers and farmers, and resource conservation districts. Joey’s academic qualifications include bachelor’s and master’s degrees in civil and water resources engineering. He is a licensed professional engineer in Oregon and California. However, the practical experience gained from spending thousands of hours working, swimming, boating, and fishing in streams provides him with the perspective, inquisitiveness, and determination to develop solutions to water resource issues that confront water users, water managers, conservation districts, and resource agencies..
